Each week, about 2 hours before I record this podcast, I sit down, either in front of the computer or in front of a notebook and write out the show.

It's strange … I feel like I've said the before for some reason … anyway …

Sometimes I have something in mind, sometimes I go through my notes of past thoughts…

Wait … I really do think I've said this all before.

Maybe I've been doing this too long. Maybe I'm all of ideas. Maybe, just maybe, I'm questioning my existence.

Actually, I'm always questioning my existence. So that would definitely be déjà vu.

But I'm talking about something else.

Ferris Bueller said, "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it"

The Talking Heads said, "And you may ask yourself, 'Well... how did I get here?' Letting the days go by"

And that's what most of us do. We let each and every day pass us by while we spend time in our busy lives, working, taking care of families, taking care of ourselves, reading, writing, studying, educating ourselves, entertaining ourselves, and of course the inevitable killing ourselves.

Life is literally: Live, Die, Repeat.

Now die does refer to death (but not for you Gunslinger), but death isn't always physical death. It means a change. Of course if you are not changing, the maybe you are already as good as dead.

Repetition is our existence. It's the way a day works, sure some days are longer than others, some people get all day sunlight or darkness, but there is always a pattern.

Wake up, get out of your bed, drag the … anyway

Routine. Repeat. Lather. Rinse, Repeat. Most of us get bogged down in this and just follow the routine.

But we need to listen to Ferris Bueller. We need to stop and look around. Are you where you want to be? Is this where you thought you'd be at your age?

"Same as it ever was" (Talking Heads)

This podcast is serious repetition. Your listening to it may very well be repetition and a pattern you follow. My process to create it is repetition. Sometimes I feel ….

I'm sure there is a point I should be making here … somewhere …

Um … maybe it's, take stock of yourself. Ask yourself some questions like, where am I going? Am I where I want to be? What am I doing to get where I want to be?

And if you find yourself in a repetitive rut and can't get out I have a solution that I got from the immortal words of Bob Newhart. It's two words that will change your life. And they are, "Stop it!"

I tried to fight it. I mean I did defeat it, but I was unable to stop it’s plan. The solar eclipse has brought about your doppelgänger. Please if you see it, stay away. Do not attempt to make contact. I’m sorry I could not stop this. I’m sorry I couldn’t save the world this time.
